Promoting A New Behavior

Promoting A New Behavior

———-oOo———-

Dear friends,

There is a need for $2,000 to pay bills which came due during the first two weeks of this month and today there is now less than $100 available in the Foundation’s bank account.

As mentioned yesterday, these bills are for electricity, telephone and utilities, as well as our high-speed business Internet access and website presence—basic, essential services which block our outreach if they are interrupted.

In actuality, this is the situation, not the need, because the need, which is the answer to the situation,  is for Brotherhood!

It’s really very simple. My task is to renew and refresh Brotherhood by demonstrating ours—yours and mine—and by setting the example of what Brotherhood is. Brotherhood is involvement with each other arising out of Love—the natural desire to acknowledge and confirm your Brother’s divinity which occurs when you have discovered that God is your Father and therefore, undeniably your Brother’s, too!

In that discovery, your behavior changes and the reason you do things does, too, because you are “seeing him as he is.” You are seeing his holiness.

You may not enjoy seeing frequent invitations of support, not realizing that they are an essential “teaching,” too, because they are illuminating the depth and breadth of the meaning of Brotherhood while promoting new behavior consistent with its meaning.

There is a saying circulating which puts it well: “If you’re helping someone and expecting something in return, you are doing business, not kindness.”

We are not doing business. We are doing Brotherhood. And Brotherhood engaged in is the confirmation of our Father. It is the act of co-creation which it is our Function to perform as the Sons and Daughters of God. It is the way we come Home.

We—all of us—are the means by which the Gift is given. Not just me, alone. Or me and Paul, alone. It’s a call to step out of privacy, imagined independence and its accompanying love of authority and power, and recognize that we need each other, that our Wholeness lies in our Brotherhood and nowhere else, because it is in our Brotherhood that we give our Father His rightful place, yielding up the “place” we created as a substitute for Him which cost us our real identity.

———-oOo———-

To summarize: With less than $100 on hand and $2,000 in unpaid bills which are immediately due, we are approaching the 20th of the month and its usual expense of approximately $5,000.

And so, we pass the bowl again–the invitation to support the ever-present availability of our Gift, without strings, without cost, and with a generous Love, as all of us together . . .
