One Among Many?
Fulfillment can’t be felt when you’re looking at what you don’t have. Looking to the past IS looking at what you don’t have, because everything is receding from you. The requirement is to look ahead, because everything is approaching you—the gift of God is constant and purpose becomes clear in fresh and necessarily unexpected ways!
As one among many, you are all alone, bouncing off of each other like balls in a pinball machine, and there is no peace. And yet, when you begin to realize your at-one-ment with God, there is a moment of fear, of hesitation to experience the true perspective as the one that constitutes the many. The assumption occurs that the new-found place will involve more grief than the grief you left behind. But it is not true. If you just pause for a moment to let the holy instant register, you will find nothing but peace . . . because in the holy instant you are truly experiencing the Self that is the many . . . which you are!
Some whom you have loved still prefer the experience of the roller coaster ride or the pinball slope, with their ups and downs and backs and forths, their highs and lows . . . and the thrill of the scream! But, do not indulge in the memory of how “fun” it was to be insane in order not to be alone. Wait on the Holy Spirit to reveal to you those who are appreciating peace as much as you truly are. The need for defense is absent in the place of peace where you truly reside, and the tired and weary will appear to you when they are ready to share in what you have found.”
