Have You Taken the First Step?

“The first sign of a seeker of Truth is experienced as unparalleled distress because it requires a level of trust never before allowed — one so total as to imply that there is real danger, else one could handle the situation himself.

This “danger” is an illusion occasioned only by one’s unfamiliarity with the act of trust, and it passes.  But until the illusion does pass, it can seem to justify one’s abandonment of trust and create an impasse, as a result of  one’s abandoning control but not asking for help.

Have you taken the first step?”

    Yes! When there is danger, take the opportunity, abandon control, ask for help and true.. and every time you see that trust is justified. thank You Paul and Raj et al.

    something fell away today …

    can’t say what it is exactly … but it happened around a moment of involuntary surrender … where the thought …’i really can’t go on doing or not doing whatever i’m doing or not doing’, formed from deep within, and was followed by a lovely silent witnessing that answered with the idea to pull a message card from the Course …it said;

    “Have faith in this one thing and it will be sufficient: God wills you be in Heaven, and nothing can keep you from it, or it from you.”

    then something fell away … like the ‘faith’ needed was given in that moment …and it replaced the ‘something’ that just fell away … happy now to have and share this gift of faith with you!

    Best illustration and reminder I can think of is our money. Right on the face of it is printed “In God
    we trust.” My ACIM teacher says: He’s the only One you CAN trust!
